Open Weekend for Prospective Pupils
A reminder to all of you that the Open Weekend is on the 12^th and 13^th April. This is a great opportunity for your son to have a taste of life in one of our historic boarding houses, learn more about the school and make new friends. It allows parents to get to know the school and to meet staff and senior boys.

The scholarship examinations will be written on that weekend, and interviews conducted, so please circle the date in your diary.

Information evenings for prospective families
2008 has got off to a busy and happy start at Hilton and we are already quite far advanced in the process which will lead to our securing the school’s intake for January 2009. Reflecting on this, I am again struck by the role played by parents and boys in the marketing of Hilton.

We will be holding a number of functions which will provide an opportunity for prospective families to meet our new Headmaster, Dave Lovatt, and to hear for themselves what it is that makes Hilton unique. Many of you have been to such a function already, or have come to our Open Sunday. Should you know of friends or family who might be interested, please extend an invitation to join us or give me their details and I will make contact.

Our Headmaster, Dave Lovatt and I will be in Johannesburg and Pretoria on Wednesday 6^th and Thursday 7^th February. We will be free during the day and would love to meet with families. So, if your son has not yet had an interview, or if you are still considering the school and would like some one-on-one time with Dave, please give me a call to set up a time.

CONFIRMATION 2008
Confirmation in 2008 will take place during the first term of 2008. Boys who will be in Form 4 (Grade 11) and above in 2008 may participate in the Confirmation course. The course culminates in the Confirmation service on Tuesday 18th March at 6.00 pm in the Hilton College Chapel.
